One cold, wet December Saturday morning 8 little campervans were snoozing gently, when Kevin & Maxine bounded into the unit waking them up. “Wakey,Wakey! It’s showtime!”
It was the Kev’s Kampers Open Day.
Kev’s Kampers moved over the Autumn to a new indoor facility near Silchester. This was to be the first of our open day events. Rui of 79North showcased his exclusive Portuguese wines, olive oil and honey. He had a great selection of red, white, rose, sparkling rose and vino verde wines for our guests to taste. Our new neighbours Indigo Bakes (who you can see at their pop up bakery in Chineham Village Hall, Basingstoke, Saturday 15th December), provided us with sourdough loaves and focaccia – a winning combination, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Of course, our campervans were also on display. Boris, Enzo, Honey, Dylan, Matilda, Otto, Sky and Edwina were ready to meet their public. (Freddie & Katie had previous engagements 😊)
The first of many
With the weather, it could have been disastrous, darling, however our public showed their support and a good time was had by all (probably fuelled buy Rui’s wine & Patrick’s bread). This will now be a regular event, with the next being held in the Spring. We realise the weather may not be much better, but we like to be optimistic!
